The Criterion Games expend their team with the employees of Codemaster

Electronic Arts have integrated the Codemasters Cheshire development team into Criterion Games, which is busy with the new Need for Speed.

The studios have joined forces to work together on the future of the popular racing series. At the same time, the Codemasters Birmingham team continues to work on the Formula 1 franchise. There have been no reductions in the ranks of employees.

According to sources, the two studios have been working closely together over the past couple of months, leading to the merger. Codemasters Cheshire itself was originally founded by people from Evolution Studios who had previously worked on the MotorStorm series.

The release of the new part of Need for Speed, according to rumors, is expected this year on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series - recently screenshots of the map and project interface have leaked to the network.
